Shadreka McIntosh, a fourth-generation Fort Myers resident, will be achieving her goal of bringing a pharmacy to the communities known as Dunbar.

McIntosh, 41 and a Fort Myers High School graduate, has spent the past five years as a pharmacist at the Veterans Affairs clinic in Cape Coral. Her path to opening a Fort Myers pharmacy coincided with efforts from the Southwest Florida Community Foundation to help fund one.

Sozo Wellness of Dunbar will open in mid-April. It will be inside 900 square feet at 3510 Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd., Suite 1, which used to be a Western Union check-cashing outlet.
